I've been an avid weightlifter for 12 years now and have counted on commercial gyms to provide me with quality equipment to use. One day I was doing my regular workout- bench press reps- when I ended up slipping and tearing the labrum in my shoulder, which severely changed my range of motion and the way I am able to workout.

It wasn't anything I did different about form or weight, it was the lack of support from the bench. I knew if I had a problem like this, there had to be other people experiencing similar issues.

I realized that an equipment cover could not only provide grip to keep people stable while working out, but it could also provide a greener way of keeping gyms sanitary by reducing the use of single-use disinfectant wipes.
